Some cool custom pieces we did for Jenn at a http://agoodchicktoknow.com/.
The table and bench were made of reclaimed materials. The table base was made at The Welding and Engineering Shop and the castors for the bench are old industrial items found at the scrap yard. We distressed the floor using some secret techniques. Thanks to the girls and the insanely trusting and creative homeowner for believing I could improve on her brand new $35 000 floor.
The beam came out of a house built in 1904 on Beach Ave. that was burned to the ground a couple days after we found that piece. Turns out the people were having trouble getting development permits so they used the Rize technique of simply burning the thing down.
The sliding bathroom door uses salvaged 1897 door rollers and the door itself is a dining room pocket door from a north van house circa 1910.
Main st. original Blaine. Riding a tricked out bike I sold him.
The awesome Kate with horns, Me with Krys and the front of the shop on an epic summer night. Back when the Naziesque city of Vancouver bylaw didn’t seem to care about us.
One of the people we buy from, Arturo holding a magic lantern lens, Art by Gypsy Wolf, Fluorescent Tube art by Ben Skinner and Random Chemistry lab gear.
Some random shots of stuff we’ve had kicking around. I don’t update often so many of these items are gone. But hey i’t neat to look at.
Antique pictures overdrawn/ painted by Gypsy Wolf
Vintage medical gear brought in by a friend. Cool Victorian style collage art by Bennet Mitten. Bought by the girls from A Good Chick to know.
Neat little collections we’ve come across. Straight Razors, 19th Century whaling tools from Greenland, Dental practice teeth made of Ivory from the early part of the 20th century. Plus a bunch of old keys and locks we acquired form another dealer. sadly they were all bought by another dealer again…..
